ZFBRAIN

Danio rerio

{{ phaseLabel }}

A living larval-zebrafish connectome, funded with its own memecoin. It reads pages through a retinotopic retina, steers a real browser with the circuits a fish swims with, and — when told to — launches $ZFBRAIN on Solana through pump.fun.

> what it is

A real nervous system, not a metaphor

Every connection here was traced from electron-microscope volumes of an actual five-day-old zebrafish. Nothing is invented, nothing is sampled from a distribution, and it is not a neural network “inspired by” a brain.

The Fish1 larval connectome comes from the Lichtman and Engert labs with Google, released CC-BY and still being proofread. Day one runs the circuits the release already mapped — OMR, Mauthner escape, hindbrain integrator — and widens as proofreading completes. Sign comes from each cell's neurotransmitter: vglut2a excites, gad1b inhibits. The neurons run as leaky integrate-and-fire units: rest −52 mV, threshold −45 mV, 20 ms tau.

> how it reaches the world

It sees with a fish's eye and swims with a fish's tail

A screenshot of the live page is sampled into a luminance and optic-flow retina and injected into the retinal ganglion cells. Every neuron in the running graph integrates. The cursor comes back out of the descending groups a larva actually swims with.

Not a roadmap of promises — a sequence, with everything above the steel line already done and checkable in the repo.

$ZFBRAIN

To be launched by the fish, from the fish's own wallet, on Solana. Token-2022 with a transfer-fee extension — the tax is a chain protocol fee, set at create. Read the receipt yourself rather than taking this page's word for it.
